Darcy Thompson

“I love to paint or draw every day and am currently creating non-traditional portraits using watercolour, gouache, acrylic ink, and collage; mixing materials when I feel it suits the subject, searching for a whimsical feeling in my artwork. Spending time in nature helps me connect with my creativity and I am continually inspired by the incredible and diverse environment we are so lucky to have here in Ontario. Continuous experimentation with my art supplies fulfills my sense of curiosity and keeps me excited about the creative process.”

Darcy is a diverse visual artist that enjoys working in all two-dimensional mediums from charcoal on paper to collage on board. She has her Certificate in Visual Arts from Sheridan College and is continually experimenting with new media.
